FAQs
Do you take insurance?
I do not accept insurance but can provide superbills and work with you to navigate out-of-network benefits so you can receive partial reimbursement. Many people who have PPOs don’t realize this is an option.
A good first step to find out your options is to call your insurance (the number on the back of your card) and ask:
Do you accept superbills
Can I use an out-of-network provider?
How do I submit them (i.e.online, mail, etc.)?
How much will you reimburse?
What happens if I Need to Cancel?
Life happens and sometimes we have to cancel a session. To cancel, please reach out to me via text, email or with a voicemail 24 hours before your session. No-shows or late cancellations will result in a full session fee that must be paid before we meet again.
What are your Fees?
I charge $200 for individuals and $250 for couples. However, I do keep a certain number of sliding scale slots open to help folks who are in need. This is usually a case by case situation based on availability and therapy goals.
When Can I start?
If schedule allows, we’ll try to get you in for a session within a week of our phone consultation. However, before we start, you must fill out a few intake documents that protect your confidentiality and explain some of the other details around our work together.
Can I reach out between Sessions?
Of course. Feel free to text or email me about scheduling. If you find yourself struggling, you can reach out and we can schedule a quick 10-15 minutes to connect. However, anything longer than that might be moving into session territory which will have to be prorated.
Are our Conversations confidential?
Everything you say to me is confidential. However, in rare instances therapists by law are obligated to report events where someone is in danger of serious harm. This includes child/elder abuse/neglect, harm to self or others, or a court order. I will go over all of these instances in detail when we first meet and go over your intake documents.
HOw do I pay For Sessions?
I accept all major credit cards and use an easy-to-use HIPAA compliant service Simple Practice. During our first session I will help you set up an account where your card will remain on file and charged at the end of each session.
